Joshua Kirkland, a graduate of Genoa Central High School and son of Debra and Jackie Kirkland, was recently awarded a Lineman Training Scholarship from Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative to Arkansas State University in Newport. The scholarship is valued at $3,500 and covers books and tuition.
